CeCe Barfield Thompson, Founder and Principal
CeCe Barfield Inc is a full-service interior design firm based in New York City. CeCe Barfield Thompson, a former Senior Designer at Bunny Williams, Inc, launched her eponymous firm in October 2016. She holds a Master's Degree from Pratt Institute in Interior Architecture and also completed coursework in Historic Preservation.
Beginning her career at Vogue, CeCe specializes in crafting spaces that are high in style, but not in pretense. CeCe creates sophisticated, fresh, and one-of-a-kind living spaces -- using old, new, inherited, and found pieces -- that carefully marry the designer's style with the client's individuality.
Alexandra Landivar, Head of Production
Alexandra has over fifteen years of experience in purchasing and management. She previously worked at David Kleinberg Design Associates and Bunny Williams, Inc. Meeting CeCe while working at Bunny William Inc, Alexandra knew she wanted to work with CeCe in the future. Alexandra manages critical operations with expert organization and logistic skills, allowing our design team to focus on the creative process.
Aaron Rietveld, Head of New York Studio
Born in the South, Aaron developed an early appreciation for the significance of home and hospitality—an influence that naturally guided him toward a career in interior design. He attended New York University, where he studied aesthetic theory, art history, and French. During his time at NYU, he interned for Miles Redd and met CeCe shortly before graduating, subsequently beginning his design career as her design assistant.
Since joining CeCe in 2017 as her first hire, Aaron has advanced to his current role as Studio Director of the New York Studio. Beyond his professional work, he maintains a strong interest in art museums, painting, historic preservation, and gardening.
Morgan Fleming, Interior Design assistant, New York Studio
Morgan studied Interior Design and Architectural Lighting at Texas Christian University. She began her career with Barrie Benson Interior Design in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she honed her love for classic design infused with subtle modern touches. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for classic forms, thoughtful detail, and the interplay between light and materials. At CeCe Barfield Inc., she brings a timeless sensibility to each project, creating interiors that feel collected, enduring, and beautifully livable.
Mary Welch, Interior Design
Mary Welch is an Interior Designer in our Dallas office. After working in our New York studio, Mary relocated to Dallas, where she lives and works now.
